Here is a picture of the dust storm we woke up to this morning (click pics to see larger version):
And here is a pic of the same dust storm yesterday at Broken Hill:
Observe the difference in colour after it has traveled from out west to us 800 Km or so.
Another pic of it changing to a more beige colour at about 12:30pm

Hi Wolf,
we are just in Sydney for a week to give our lungs a break from the pollution in Hong Kong! The situation here is pretty much the same as where you are. Can’t see the Opera or the top of Harbour Bridge; no ferries, no internat. flights, traffic chaos. Is this a sign of things to come in the future in Oz???
I don’t think so, a family member told us yesterday that she had seen this before when she was sixteen, so seventy years ago!
