Here is a list of resources I recommend for your Internet Marketing efforts. There are a lot more providers and tools available within each category however I only list those and I know work. For commercial entries also applies that they represent excellent value for money however that does not mean the cheapest. Always remember that if you pay peanuts you will get monkeys. The only time I really recommend different providers is if your geographic location will influence your decision. Tip: read opensource as FREE.

• Podcasting – create, publish and feed all for free at podpress
• Do you like mind maps? These can also be great to present more complex content or you can use them to get down your ideas and then you can export them to HTML that you can post. I’ve just found Xmind.net – it’s opensource and available for Windows, Linux and Mac.

Build Your List and Name capture resources and tools

• Auto Responder - Aweber can not be beated at this or do a test drive here
• Create surveys or questionnaires online using Survey Monkey – the basic survey tool is free

Monetise your website

• Use PayPal as your payment gateway, see details here
• turn your blog into a paid membership site today using this WishList plugin

Traffic Resources and Tools

If no one knows about your site then you don’t have a web presence.

• If you are wanting to outsource SEO (at least for the moment) then checkout IB Promoter. They say they can get you a top 10 ranking in Google for a given keyword
• Ping tool – inform other blogs when you add a new post – Pingomatic

Testing

• To check for broken links use the W3.org link checker
• this site offers more then 120 different website checks – Test Everything

Support & Training

Being a Internet Marketer (IM’er) can be a bit lonely and there are always many challenges to overcome. One of the best ways of getting help and staying in touch with the IM community is to be part of a forum.

Desktop Tools

• textwranger for Mac – a bare bones text editor that is useful to remove formatting from any text. Eg paste text from openoffice,  microsoft office or from any webpage to remove all formatting before pasting it into the WordPress editor.
• Xmind.net – opensource mind mapping tool available for Windows, Linux and Mac.
